I'm not diggin' it. The hood is OK but the gate looks like you backed into something and your cheap-ass insurance company only worked hard enough to find a black one.

I am afraid of one thing... your truck will gain an unfortunate nickname... "The Mulato". Either that or "Jacko".:jester:

LOL - the confused afro-american identity! Still though, I think the look depicts a State Trooper more than anything.

Nahhhh.... I like my snacks a little more on the spicy side.
PlaySkool step-ladder mod is still workin like a charm though.

Spicy Bo? Does that mean you are discriminate about the kids you play with?

I thought her name was Cindy...

Fun aside Bo - I'm not sure I like the new look.
1. With the hood vinyl - why not go with the full hood to eliminate the lines?
2. Tailgate does look like an insurance job.
3. BallsDRAG has a good point about racing stripes - They'd look mean on your truck.
4. With the 150 degree temperature that black invites in your part of the world, won't vinyl crack or peel in a few years? Being in the roofing industry and having knowledge of polyvinyilchloride failures makes me skeptical of 'peel n stick' applications and their longevity...
5. I know you want black cuz it makes the truck go faster - but consider a complete paint job - I'm sure Raptizzle could get you a good deal!

Bro- I'm not a big fan of the upgrade - but you got me thinking - for us that use the truck offroad, like it's intended to be - vinyl sides would really help out in the tight tree trails!

Should I add some hidden flashers and a siren?
:hmm:

Actually Raptorguy21 had them both on his Raptor. He used to follow me down one of the busiest roads in our hood blaring/flashing them. He also had a big PA speaker mounted behind the grille that he would use to harass me at like 100 decibels. It was annoying as shit for me, but he looked like he was having fun. :)

1. That's what my Brother kept saying too, but I like the look of this on the hood. Just the raised portion is black while the hood vents cut through both colors. The lines are really clean and precise (on the hood) in person.

2. The cut lines around the badges could be much cleaner too. I offered to remove all my badges and re-apply, but the guy told me he could cut around them... The job he did is pretty mediocre in a few spots. This tailgate experiment may very well result in a Fail and then end up getting removed/replaced, or become non-applicable if I go the tire gate route.

3. It could look good, but I don't wanna do 2 separate stripes on my truck. I'm not knocking it, it's just not the direction I really have in mind.

4. I would think so, but it will last more than a few years, and the moment it becomes faded/splotchy /cracked/peeled etc it comes off.

5. White and black are a great combination on almost anything, they always have been. I dont wanna do a full paint job (and like vinyl) because I don't want to spend a bunch of money on a paint job that is gonna take desert scratches right away... And it would. Vinyl wrap actually protects my paint and if it gets gouged, etc. I can remove/replace. The other reason I didn't wanna paint is because someday down the line I could very well want to go back to all white, so the fact that vinyl is temporary is better for me. And Raptizzle does hook it up on the paint... I want to send him my side-view reflectors, 3rd brake light, and maybe more.

That's a really good example of what whtrapta was suggesting as to where to end the tailgate vinyl on each side. Maybe I should have him cut some off and see how that looks....

The hood looks bad to the bone!! I would do a photoshop real quick on the tailgate before you cut off the sides.
