I believe Netix was referencing DirtNasty's comment about linex'ing the whole truck not repainting it traditionally.

Wow I didn't know that that stuff faded. We use a local guy and the product is called Tuff Skin. I've personally used that Walmart one too and it holds up well.

I am guessing you are more into driving your truck than detailing it like most of us, but there are a good bit of products on the market that can help with this, if anything make it look better when it's cleaned up. Some things I have leared so far, I live about 5 miles from the ocean, so I get a good dose of salt fog which is pretty tough on the paint, bedliner, flat black chasis components, etc. I have been using the mequires ultimate wax soap to wash my truck with, it does a good job of keeping enough synthetic finsih on all the black and bedliner etc to keep it from looking so faded. Turtle Wax ice is another great product, no so much on the paint, but on all the trim, sidesteps, etc, that makes the black look new again, without being greasy or look like you just sprayed armor all all over everything. And then the paint, amazing what a high quality wax will do to maintain the luster and shine of your paint, even if you get it dirty as hell a good wax base will help keep it protected, along with making it easier to clean when you want to shine it up.

Yea the side steps are ok for things like paint chips and little rocks you drop off on but like they said its only aluminum I'm taking my steps off and either buy a set of steel sliders from RPG or ADD or just get off my ass buy a new welder and make my own so they won't bend when you hit rocks haha like this

LOL man those are more then bent, their Cracked, Split, Broken, ******.:ROFLJest:
