Had an opportunity to see the new 2017 in person. I just cannot do it. I cannot honestly purchase a Raptor with a V6 in it. The exhaust reminded me of my 1994 Ford Explorer V6. Just cannot live with that for the price. Completely different than what I was expecting.



Got my deposit back and now time to search for a 2014!

you never know, they did away with the 5.4 after the first year

The 5.4 was already an old motor, dont remember them ever marketing or uptalking the 5.4 like they do the ecoboost. Ecoboost is their baby, 5.4 was just the motor they had plenty of & was an easy choice for Ford.

This sound argument has been beaten to death no? 100% of the human race agrees the V8 sounds better. And then its probably 50/50 of people who can live with it for all the other positives vs people that want to vomit when they hear a gen2.

Now that that facts on sound are stated, how about constructive discussion on other aspects of the truck? Anyone? Or are we going to continue to pick on the low hanging fruit?

I thought the 95 tercel was the best car in the world. But then i realized more motor, psgr side mirror, a/c, ps were out there. But the vinyl was nice and that torque in forth. Wow!

Nice! Best X5 I've heard.

Seriously... stock sound is the last thing I'm concerned about. For a community that is so heavy into modding I find it funny something that can be easily changed from stock is causing people to lose their minds.

The truck has so many other points that hit the mark... I'll figure out the sound thing later and if at all. I'll probably be to busy enjoying the thing behind the wheel than to give a shit what people outside my cabin think.
