Windshield Sun Shade Recommendations

I have the weathertech and it works good but once I tinted the windshield 50% Ceramic I don’t need it anymore.

I have the Weathertech entire vehicle set. They're decent quality, the fit is excellent but it is a pain in the *** putting them in and out. I usually just put them in if I know the truck will be sitting more than a few days. When rolled up it I can stuff it under the back seat.

I’m afraid if I got the entire set, would be lazy and drive around with the 2 in the back window

Raptor is my DD and don’t think I’d ever use the back window one either, shame you can’t get a kit without it

In AZ this brand HeatshieldStore worked well,
Kept the interior much cooler than other products Iv'e tried
I only purchased for the windshield and the 2 front doors
...a little pricey for the whole set

Good grief they are quite pricy & even have one for the moon roof, never seen that before, wonder how much heat it reflects & if it is worth the coin.

I use the Weathertech one and the fit is great and it's relatively easy to take up and down. Only gripe is the adhesive for the velcro melted quickly. Sure I'm in AZ, but you would think a product intended to get a heat beat down would use something a step up from Elmer's glue.

I'm a big fan of the Heatshield. Cut for specific vehicles and it works.

I use the Covercraft, when not using it it’s just folded up under the back seat

I have this as well, and really only use the windshield piece now. I just don't have the patience to rollout and put on 6 different piece, nor properly roll them back up and store when not in use. I really don't care for rolled shades in general, and would go for a folding version if I could chose again.

It would be really nice if a vehicle came in with built in shades for the windows, same as the pano roof. I would bet that it's just not practical though, as it would require 6 electric motors (increasing chance of one breaking), and would require design changes to the window shape, etc. I think I would pay an extra $1k, maybe more, if this was an available option. Seriously, how nice would be if you're windows just blacked out with a button on the keyfob, not only protecting from heat, but hiding valuables inside, etc.

Instead of sun shade I just went with Front Windshield Ceramic Tint 50%. Front doesn't get as hot and still same visibility at night.View attachment 170562

My thoughts exactly. I did 50%... or I would ...if it wasn't "illegal"

That’s illegal in my state. But a ceramic clear will cut the heat just as well. And 50% tint is for sure not the same visibility at all, it is literally 50% of light transmission.

Its Federally illegal lol.
