3% all around is absolutely nuts. It'd be fine if it was just the rears but anything below 20% on the fronts is just stupid

it's really not too bad, you get used to it. especially since here in vegas in never really gets that dark even if your farther out into the city (away from the strip)

but i do plan on getting a light bar above the windshield, and the bumper im looking at has the led lights.. and then there's the HID lights that I'm slapping in, so night runs shouldn't be too too bad.

its nice though, being able to leave the car out in the sun when its 110+ outside, get back in it and its not a billion ******* degress inside.. black leather, black truck is usually a horrible combination, but the tint keeps it extra cool.

i've also never gotten any flack from the boys in blue(err tan i guess over here) ive been next to cops at lights, walked out talking to them from a store etc and they compliment the truck, never saying a word about the tint. *knock on wood*

It matches from the outside looking in.. But it is a little blueish looking out compared to rear windows...

Not sure if you want the hassle of doing it or not but any physician can sign a DOT form allowing dark tint for light sensitivity issues. Not the most ethical if you don't need it but if your not a criminal what's the real harm? It has saved me a few times over the years here in South Florida. I do have a valid reason for mine but know many with permits that don't.

where in south florida are you?

sorry sir but your wrong on that one maby the cops you have delt with have different rules depending on the dept....state...ect .....not every state may be that way....... here in ny i can guarantee the only way your not getting summons for illegal tints (regardless what state your vehicle is registered in florida, NC, Texas an that states tint allowance is) is with a dmv exemption card for a disability. Even if your car is registered in lets say Alabama(i dont know the tint rules in alabama so dont quote me:ROFLJest:) an they allow 5% tint .....it dosnt mean squat when your here .....here you have to obey our rules an legal %here is 70 .......which is like nothing ......i have my windows tinted , im not saying to not get them im not a hypocrite just dont want people having the wrong idea thinking they have a get out of "jail" free card is all....just sharing some knowledge dont take any offense ......oh an the part about it making us feel safe when you drop the windows is 100% true...... nothing will give you a pucker factor of 10 more then when your on a dark block with a vehicle with blacked out windows an your approaching it unable to see anything:Jedi:

first off your nuts lol 3% all the way around how the hell do you see out the other windows at night :ROFLJest:......an i dont know if you plan on taking the truck off roading at night but if you black out the front windshield you better have some good lighting cause with these crappy headlights you will have a issue seeing the trail/dunes at night

I agree 110% always roll down the fronts fellas, it makes us more at ease thus making your experience a lot better! :waytogo:

I always roll down the windows and turn on dome light while keeping both hands on steering wheel and visible.. Once the officer is next to the vehicle and asks for my information, then and only then I remove my seat belt and dig in my glove box... Makes for a happier traffic stop..

Good rules to live by :peace:

Nice posts, good info. I got the front windows tinted when I had it rustproofed and undercoated. I went with the 70% since Tint isn't legal in PA, where the truck will be registered. Trying to sneak by... :sleepy:
