Winch or not. A bumper decision pole

I'm getting ready to order my Add Venom bumper and I keep try to figure out if I really need the winch or not.

I'am in the same boat but been thinking about doing a custom bumper with a 2" receiver in it so that way i can move the winch to the front and back. plus that way i don't always have that extra weight up front our truck are front heavy enough as it is. then when i make my chase rack make a mount for the winch so it has a home when not in use.

You can always order with the winch bracket and get the winch later

thought about that but I have A 20 In rigid I wish I could put in for temp but they said it would not work.

Well as I always say, it's better to have it rather than get into a situation and say to yourself, "man, I wish I would have got that winch."

I want the ability to go hit the trail anytime. that means if I get stuck, how do I get out. I'm cautious and always try and have friends along but if I'm out with a jeep or another smaller truck, they are not going to pull me out with a tow strap. Get the winch!

I got it and I use it, often. I've dug my original off road truck out many times, it sucks. If you have one, outfit it properly and you will use it many times.

So now i need to figure out what to do with the 20" rigid. Or try to trade for a set of 4" amber floods.

Until I need one, I'm not going to worry. Can't go wrong with equipping yourself though. Main reason I didnt considered a winch is bc I haven't been able to like a bumper with a winch mount. They take away your approach angle from all the ones I seen. The venom looks like it doesn't hang but the design hasn't grown on me. What I was thinking about doing is mounting a winch on the rear trailor hitch receiver and have like a quick disconnect if ever really needed.

ok going winch bumper. Already ordered the winch also. The 2 4" led light is the next item. looking at a 40" behind the grill then on the sides of the winch
either
2 4" white floods with amber covers
2 4" amber flood
any thoughts on the covers. Do they work?
