This is geared more towards anyone who enjoys bass....not many of us here do I realize that. So my next enclosure is almost done and I think I'll be happy with this set-up. Here is what I have done for the most part...

Two 10" 500rms subs in a Fox Box on 1100 watts....worked great for years....wanted more.
Four 8" Gately Audio Relentless subs on a Sundown Audio SALT-4 at .5....get's down.....wanted more.
Two 12" Sundown Audio Zv5's on a Sundown Audio SALT-6 at 1 ohm....not bad...no seat however.
Two 15" Sundown Audio Zv6's on a SALT-4 at 1ohm with the intention of putting a SALT-8 on them at 1ohm. The SALT-4 was not even close enough power for two yet was shaking everything in the truck. If I put the SALT-8 on them which I bought I would be hurting the truck...I really don't want to shake the truck apart but I want just under that.

So now I have another custom enclosure being built for one 15" Zv6 and should be able to put the back seat back in. I can pull this enclosure for my double 8" enclosure for road trips when I have my dogs.

My Gately that I repainted a rustic rat rod red to match the interior accents.

The Next Level Fabrications enclosure that is almost done, still needs clear and the other end will have an acrylic window with the Sundown Audio logo.

This is impressive. How do you handle rattles? I have a couple of 12's that love to create a new rattle every time I crank them up. It is like wack-a-mole in the cab.

So my doors are heavily sound deadened, I have 80% coverage on the inside, opposite of paint. Then I have Sound skins on the inside and block off plates. My rear wall is sound deadened as well as the floor. My next Raptor WILL NOT HAVE A MOONROOF...and I'll do the ceiling as I did my 18 XLT. The rear window is the biggest issue and I have to open it stop it from rattling or damaging it. The roof is my biggest concern in terms of damaging anything. I don't want a leak to say the least.

I wonder if you could just replace the rear window with one that did not have the sliding rear window?

Have you considered a blow-through 4th order? It will eat up some bed space, but might improve your transfer function in the truck to help with the low frequencies inside the truck.

I have, many times...had them before. Issue is I use my bed to do truck things, I do not use my backseat area. I thought about a wall but if went that hardcore I would be tearing the truck apart. Also the issue I was having with the Sundown Audio Zv6's. They need 8k watts and I was putting 4k to them and it shaking my Truck pretty good. 8k I think would start to damage it. So I'm gonna tone that down to one 15" monster sub on a Sundown Audio SALT-4. Should be a good set up after box rise and all that jazz.

Here is the enclosure Cody at Next Level Fabrications just finished for me. I should be able to put my seats back in now and pull this in and out as I need for trips and what not. Single sub set up but towards the top of that category. lol Sub up and port loading off rear passenger door. 13.jpg

What are your plans for the old gear?
I put my old HUGE enclosure up for sale for $1000. I paid almost 2K for it with shipping. Everything else I'm keeping at the moment. If I put anything back in even on vacation it'll be the four Gatley Relentless 8's and Gatley enclosure.

I got the new enclosure yesterday. I tried to remove a sub out of the old enclosure to put in the new one and couldn't do it solo. Gonna have to wait till my friend comes over but now I'm working Sat and Sun....lol.

Awesome! If for any reason you do it again, aim the subwoofers at the rear wall, and laminate several pieces of baltic birch as a loading wall. It's a trick we did in this Bronco build for Focal that helped "aim" the bass. The rear fire will help with the low-end extension if you can add enough enforcement
