Will dealers do Forscan changes? Would like to get rid of the canned exhaust, do The Lincoln mirror fold, etc.
Anyone know of a trusted Forscan expert in Atlanta area?
While I’m asking, any way to change the alarm settings? If I leave my dogs in the truck with the engine running and doors locked they set the alarm off. (Never for more than a few minutes)

dealer will not touch forscan and both dealers I have went to have no clue what it is...trust me, if you can power on a computer you can make changes on forscan, the walk through on the f150 forum makes it a piece of cake.

There is a setting where you can make the alarm perimeter only instead of the motion sensor inside cab, you can even set it up for the truck to ask you each time the ignition is off, at least with the 8” instrument cluster.

I second anyone can use forscan as long as they can install the program and have a windows laptop available. It’s super simple and the lower cost of elm327 device now it’s a no brainer. I work at KTP where we build EXP/NAV and Superduty. I have repair techs that use IDS and FDRS all day long but freak out about AsBuilt data. I run out on breaks and enable disable things everyday for people. Just install it get the device and then save your factory AsBuilt. The beauty of all things electronic now is you can always fix it. I typically also take a photo on my phone of the screen before making changes so it’s easy to keep track and revert if something goes crazy. I’ve probably tinkered with 100 plus vehicles and no issues or bricking yet, that’s including sync 2 to sync 3 conversions, 4” to 8” screen conversions and adding oem remote start.

Just watch the youtube videos before and during the process. It's a fairly easy process, but take your time and be diligent. I too take a photo of the screen before making ANY changes. I'm always afraid I'll tab over and clear the existing portion of code. Scares me to death...I'm pretty sure I had a nightmare about that one night. No shit. So I get it, if your afraid, have someone else do it.
