The "mystery bumper" has not a top hoop for a rigid, but that small bump out bar to give it more definition. Not such a flat front.

he knows what you mean, this is the basic shape. he has that bump bar to add to it and is gonna post pics.

First, thank you for knocking out a bumper and being so responsive with all the ideas that have been flowing here.

I love what you did with this and think it's an excellent jumping off point. I really like the look of this bumper when you removed the stainless cover. I like how the lights are recessed a bit as well, that was my one sticking point with the "mystery bumper".. from the pics, it seemed as if the lights would be the first to make contact. I agree that I'd love to see this bumper with the slight bump out on the front ala "wonder bumper"

I'm definitely interested in the idea of a 40" bar on the top however I'm not sure how it would flow with the lines and if I were you, I'd be very protective of the curve and flow of this bumper.. that's what makes it so special and unique.

To be clear, those are two 20's? I like the idea of a powdercoated fine mesh to cover the lights and give them some protection from debris.. Though I'm unsure of how much light transmission would be lost with the cover.

I'm already envisioning this thing on my truck with the two 20's in the center, D2's in the side squares and a powdercoated skidplate and in my mind it looks BADASS!

As for the suggestion of making the other bars a smaller diameter.. I'm on the fence with this one. I think it looks awesome as it is and I think the beefy/subtle combination you guys created is spot on. If the lower bars aren't as curved as the upper, I'd ensure the whole bumper has the same lines though I can't tell from the pics.

Friggin' fantastic job man and I'm only about five hours from you so when I get my truck we're taking a road trip up to get my bumper in person so I can meet you all and shake your hands. I'm stoked! :waytogo:

Now for those of us required to run a front plate; I need you to figure this out:

Build a mechanism that would hold the front plate on the underside of the skid plate. With the flip of Aux switch, a motorize arm slides the plate upwards in front of the 20" Rigid Lights. Once cop is gone because he "THOUGHT" he didn't see a plate there, I switch Aux off and the plate slides back down into the underside of the skid plate.

Make it happen...:waytogo:

Well, I sat and took a good long look at all the pics you provided Wicked and I must say, I think you did a kick ass job. There's room for some small improvement, but I think for the most part you nailed it.

Here's a few things I had thought of (some will definitely be repeats of other people in this thread):

1. The plate covering the lights would probably look a lot better if it was black or even a fine mesh like the others suggested, but I think the black plate would look nicer.

2. In the holes where everyone is talking about putting dualies, maybe make it an option to put mesh in there instead of the dualies. I think that'd make the front not look so blocky. Or even what about eliminating that outer upright tube (not sure if it's essential for structural purposes).

3. The bump/push bar everyone else has been calling for.

Things I liked about the current design:

1. Love how it flows with the front end and stays tight to the plastic.
2. Also think the skidplate looks bad ass because of the way it curls up on the sides.
3. I really like the dual 20" lights in the center as well.
4 Lastly, I think it's kind of cool how it has the look of something that should have come stock on the truck.

Keep up the awesome work guys!

Super awesome constructive criticism in this thread. Damn, with the assistance of some of us nit-picky people and the amazingness of the Wicked shop, they're gonna take the Raptor world by storm!
