You asked for it.

What if we took the twin bump out bar that you have for the upper 40" LED light and moved it to where you have the mesh and the solid steel plates that I was talking about earlier? You can make the main bumper closer to the truck and the only part that would be protruding would be the two "kick-out" bars to protect the light.

Then, the top of the bumper wouldn't need anything like the top hoop that it has now, thus, not blocking any of the grill and I think that it would be much smoother looking.

Now, where to mount the Dually's so that it looks all smooth and awesome? No idea. That's why I still want to see the current mounting options you have on that bumper in the pics for the Dually's. I have a set that I can send to you if you don't have a set there. I don't mind. PM me if you're interested and then I can just get them back from you when you make my bumper. :D Whichever.

Where would I run the 20" if we did that? No idea. I really like the idea of replacing the steel plates with the extra width of the 40", but I don't want to risk any structural integrity that those may provide? Perhaps I'll have to get another 40" to run them one-on-top-of-another and sell the 20"...

Who knows.

What do you think?

//EDIT//

Looking at the side profile picture some more, the 40" would have to be mounted pretty damn far back, recessed, into the rear of the bumper. Not sure if you'd be able to swing that (no idea). The top hoop on it looks really nice as is, so now I'm like damn... A 40" in the top with twin 20" below would be madness. Wire in both 20" bars to one AUX switch... I'd like to hear your opinion about the 40" mounted as I stated above. Is that possible do you think? Have two "kick-out" bars like the one upper bar (not the top hoop) even with the top and bottom of the mesh.

I can see what I am picturing, but not sure if I am explaining it right. I only have MSPAINT at work. ;)

I really like what I see with that bumper though. Hmm...need a test fit? Where you at again? ;)

Swoop I love your idea. What if we put the bump out bar on the top hoop the same and put another bumper out bar on the bottom hoop to match. then a 30" light or whatever in the middle of those 2 bars. The problem with a 40" on the top is the curve of the main hoop the way I have it no for the customer is to put 3 10" LEDs across the top in an arc.

The LEDs mount in the outside gap just like they do in the stock raptor bumper. they are staggered allowing a lot of adjustment.

I can make the opening wider or like I did on Birds install lights in each of those solid steel areas between the 2 uprights.

Swoop you wanna come work for me and design bumpers.

We are in cleveland OH. Where it rains or snows 90% of the time.

I wish i was at home in Michigan instead of in Florida -- I'd totally be willing to take some trips for test fitting and getting to know what my truck is gonna look like.

I'd be all for designing some bumpers or at least giving some drawings, but I don't even know where to start! Ha, I can envision some awesome things in my head but coming to life on that -- no can do.

Three 10" LED's across the top in a nice light pattern...hmm... But I don't have three 10" LED's; I have a 40", a 20" and Dually's. You do this more than I do -- what options do I have regarding the lights I already have?

I'd really like to hear if fitting a 40" on your bumper is possible because if it is, I'd love to still use it.

If I cannot mount the 40" on the bumper as I described, I'd leave it behind the grill where it currently is, have you negate the top hoop, purchase another 20" light from RIGID and run twin 20" LED's in the lower opening. Then the Dually's on the outside as you described and figure something out with the metal uprights; either elimination or stuff something else in there. Maybe some D2's or something.

Thanks!

What about selling the 40" and buy a 30" or 3 10"? I think, like Wicked said, the 40" just wont work with the contour of the front bumper. Or like you said, keep it behind the grill, which is still pretty slick!

What about something like this...make tos circles and maybe mesh in from of them. And you can either mount a 4" round or a D2 behind it? Just bored at work playing around. :)

Please excuse my poor paint skillz....lol

The only problem with that is the frame rails are right behind that plate. However, I did a little something with Birds bumper to address the light problem. I can install a straight bump out bar to hold a 40" but your going to have a contoured bar with a straight bar in front of it.

We can make anything the truck will allow I MEAN ANYTHING. If swoop wants unicorns and rainbows in his skid plate we will make it. I have have done skid plates with military symbols, I did one with the Denver broncos logo in it. When you order from us you design the bumper we just build it.

Oh, ok, i thought so, but i wasn't sure because i thought either bird or swoop wanted to put lights in those squares.

Because then i thought about this, but i'm sure its the same issue, the frame rails.
