I update about every 4 yrs, aka new model. Had a 2011, now 2017, ordered a 22. Has be a improvement, and have to really like it. Cost isn't a big deciding factor. Always do well trading my trucks.

Pricing killed it for me. I was ready for a Gen-3. I had a Gen-1 and currently have a Gen-2. I don't see the value in the pricing on a Gen-3. $80k+ for a 1/2 ton truck is bananas. I will keep the Gen-2 for now and have a Bronco (Wildtrak) on order.

Reasons not to buy a Gen 3....
1. Price. Covid and "Must Have" fan boys drive prices through the roof. Dealers are loving this BTW.
2. My Gen 1 has been to Baja 3 times and will continue to do that. Im not afraid to take it there.
3. I dont daily my truck, so wouldnt give up all the suspension mods for a stock truck or start over.
4. Looks are growing on me, but it looks too much like a std F150. Its almost to subtle.
5. I see way too many Gen 2's here in TX..I imagine Gen 3 will be the same.

I see you’re in San Antonio. Have you spotted any Gen 3s there?

#2 : The engine tuning is updated. Goosetuned has seen a significant improvement stock gen 2 over stock gen 3....

Yup.. My neighbor has an Orange one. Have seen several around, they are growing on me.
I’ll be excited to see what aftermarket does with the links and how well they play with a mid travel front. Might be some pretty wild trucks coming up.
