My Injen may be more susceptible to getting wet because of the design of the cover and your's may be more protected but from those picture at some point water got through.

Yeah I know it did. Don't know how. Regardless, I don't want to have to worry about it, that's why I went back to stock with drop-in. Maybe in the future would go aftermarket intake (one with a closed box) or possibly something like the UMP system

I do miss the sound of the intake though

From rain?

One time I was washing the truck and when I opened the hood a bunch of water ran down onto the filter and it swole up pretty good, I had to take it off and let it dry out in front of the fireplace for about 12 hours, ever since then I keep a sock on it and water or dust doesn't make it to the filter.

Gotcha. That water repellent injen sock seems like it should work pretty well. Best of luck with it.

I still don't understand why anyone would want an intake on an N/A vehicle. To each their own.

I say the same. Prolly sound or initial throttle response IF any. I'm stock with k&n drop in and happy as well. @$250+ for intakes. Eeeaaasshh!

Wow. Everyone is having bad luck with their intakes. I have the K&N intake With the Prefilter sock. Haven't had any issues. Hmm? I must be the only one. And I purposely squirt my filter and entire engine every time I wash my truck so it sees plenty of water.

I don't see the value on upgrading the intake, especially for the price. Lots of mods would come before the intake for me.

Looks more like dirty water got past the clamps than through the filter to me, if it had been through the filter I would imagine it would get much farther down the intake tube
