Why does everyone hate the B&O stereo?

it is a name, that is marketed. I can assure you...B&O did none of the engineering to this system.....they just licensed their name. And should be ashamed of it.

They allegedly tuned it, and that's it. I think it's embarrassing that Ford can market it as a "B&O system" when no component that I know of, not the HU, not the speakers, not anything, was manufactured by B&O. The only thing I'm not sure about is the white sub surround/driver.

When you see what comes out of it (the paper cone crap speakers), it's a miracle it sounds as good as it does. I mean, they couldn't even get some speakers from the Harman parts bin? Pathetic and misleading, at best.

I think its all a matter of expectations. With the name B&O and the amount you pay for the truck, people expect more. So people get disapointed and just say "It sucks"

I feel the same way about the LED headlights. They are good decent headlights, but are they the best out there? No, so you just get a blanket statement that "it sucks"

For the record, I think the B&O and LED headlights are fine. Not top of the line, but good. I also didnt have high expectations for either one. I also wouldnt simply refer to something as "it sucks" because it provides no useful information as to why it sucks.

I’ve lived on motorcycles my entire life and prefer my music live. If it sucks, I can’t tell the difference anyway.

Something about this whole thread just smells funny. I myself never understood why a company would call themselves B.O. I was hopeful that the 2019 B&O sound would be good, unfortunately the first thing I did was swap out the speakers with JL and the sound system instantly sounded 3x better. The fact that it is so hard to swap in a new sub/amp means you paid a premium for a poor system and actually paid more to make it harder/more expensive to replace.

I love my B & O system. Way better than anything I’ve ever had. But I don’t have much to compare to. I love the bass though.

I had the Sony in my 13 Raptor and now the B&O and they both sounded Great to me. My B&O sounds better than the Sony, however it's been a couple of years since I had my 13, so I could be wrong.

Outside of this forum I would bet that the majority of owners like the B&O system. There is always going to be options that not everyone likes or would invest more in. I wouldn't own a Raptor without the B&O system, twin panel roof or the console shifter. The next guy doesn't want any of those options.
