Why does everyone hate the B&O stereo?

The "sony" stereo in my 801a 2018 is OK. The "bose" stereo in my 2015 GMC Sierra SLT was actually decent, had good punchy base actually had a sub under the seat or center console from factory - probably the best factory stereo I've personally had in a vehicle, & it wasn't great lol

I think you need to gravitate toward the german brands to get consistently good factory audio throughout the model range these days

I suppose its pretty good to the non-audiophile.
Like me.

Do I wish I was an audiophile?
Yeah, I do. Will I learn to become one, one day? Maybe.

But at my level, the Sony is pretty good.

But I knew that it (Sony) and the B&O would come off as a rip-off to audiophiles.

Ford and B&O milking the brand image.
No different than subpar Puma Ferrari trainers or Lamborghini-branded laptops.

Puma and Acer milking the Ferrari/Lamborghini brand image.
Sort of like a placebo pill - if its Ferrari, it must therefore be better.

New owner since May - this was probably the biggest disappointment of the truck. I'm no audiophile by any means, but the B&O sound is horrible compared to the *stock* audio system in my alfa Romeo Stelvio (no sub). The door speakers are very muddy, and it gets worse with volume. My previous car was a Golf GTI with fender audio, that is considered also pretty basic as far as an upgraded audio system goes, but man, I do miss it!
