Hey Guys,
I been reading up on these eco boost motors and doing a lot of research since Im trying to get my truck to a certain HP. The only way to do this is simply by going with a full custom turbo kit and tune. The factory exhaust and intake will give you the same amount of power as all/ if not most of the aftermarket exhaust and intakes out there. From what I read and talked to a bunch of "trusted" tuners, guys I been dealing with on all my projects thru the years, these trucks simply dont pick up power from Intakes or Exhausts. I want to see if anyone has actually put their truck on the dyno after a tune or before with just adding and intake or exhaust and picked up any power at all? Need some guidance on how much power I can really make with TUNE/EXHUAST/INTAKE/DOWN PIPES vs tune only. From what I know from one local shop they did a tune on a truck and than added all bolt ons and the truck barely picked up 3-5HP. Is this true? not sure but I do trust the shop, and this being a Raptor Forum maybe other members have better input as far as real hard proof of it giving good power.
My truck feels faster type of answer is not what Im looking for. Im looking for I either had the truck at the track and ran a way better time after the bolt on mods or my truck made this much more power on the dyno vs a my stock truck before. Stock trucks will make dif power #s on a dyno depending on truck and weather/air conditions. So looking for a truck that has been dyned before and after with bolt ons with tune or without.
I know Intercooler will make the truck more consistent but def not more power.
