I hooked up my S2 reverse lights a few months ago and I was left with like 6 feet of wire and I was never really thrilled with how the wiring by the upfitter wires looked so I cut the extra wire from the supplied harness, soldered the connection and used shrink wrap but I’m still not thrilled. I’m a bit of a perfectionist lol. I’m about to install 4 XL 80’s. Wondering if you guys can post some pics under the hood how you arrange it. Neat and tidy or all over the damn place?

Yeah, drove me nuts too. I pinned the upfitter wires and installed in a molex connector along with 6 ground wires. On the other side of the molex connector I pinned 6 connectors. The molex connector staps into the battery cover so its secure. Just need to finish wrapping the wires.

if you’d be so kind as to explain to me, the village idiot, exactly what it is you did. Did you connect a female connector to each upfitter wireso they are no longer bare wire? Ty

All the upfitter wires are pinned into one connector with a ground for each upfitter wire. Then made a harness that plugs into that. The harness has a female quick disconnect for each upfitter.

I can. I will get the info together tomorrow. Kashoggio posted the same type of connector for the quick disconnect side. I just did 6 (2) pin connects for each upfitter so I don’t have to disconnect any upfitter other than what I want. I’ll get the molex connector for and pins listed for anyone interested.
Can you provide information so that we can purchase the connectors?

I also followed @Kashoggio instructions and went ahead with the Deustch connector install:

For tools, you will need wire cutters/strippers, a Deustch terminal crimper (barrel-style; around $20-$30 on Amazon), heat gun/hair dryer/lighter (for the heat shrink tubing), and a Deustch pick removal tool (for disassembly of the connector, when needed).

For materials, you will need the Deustch connector assembly, heat shrink tubing, and braided sleeving.
