Did BofA at 3.5% for 72 months with 20K down. Not too bad. Ford wanted 5.99% like everyone else has commented on.

If I get this promotion then they will cover mileage and car allowance... then I won't have to worry.

I guess, you got that right. Since I had a problem with my car when I wanted to buy it, but the percentage was too risky for me, so I got an advice about it from my wife that told me to give it a try, since there are a lot of different kinds of situations when people won the risky situation, that's why I tried to do it. But reality is too real for us, so I didn't manage to pay for a loan on time. Since then in one day some guys from debt collectors ( I guess that's them frontline-collections.com) come to me and we had a little discussion about solving my problem (they was pretty nice btw). Since than I have never take any loan, EVER!

Same here, 3.29%, gave them $10,000 + trade. Cheap money. Also a tax write off since I'm in the thing nearly 100% for work. In fact, the entire reason I have the truck is primarily for tax reasons.

There is no doubt, each person has their own strategy because each is in a different financial position. I agree with the school of paying cash or paying off anything you can - there is no doubt you sleep better at night not owing money to others. When the market is good, like it is now, it is easier to make the argument around letting your money work and finance your toys. That all makes sense until the market turns and your paying an interest rate higher than what you are earning. There are no guarantees in this life, do what works for you and enjoy it. Lord knows you can't take your toys with you so live each day to the fullest. I have yet to see a Hearse pulling a U-Haul with anyone's toys to take with them to the grave.

Before this turns into a finance class... if the vehicle makes you happy, do what you must to keep it. Do not forget its a liability and a FORD not a 250 TR Testarossa...
