Wild, based on that ,airbags should deploy just fine. I'm pretty sure jarret would tell you he hit that cattle guard pretty hard, if not harder than that video. I mean the pic shows his door pretty smashed

If that is the case, then that would make sense as to why they don't show up in the pics. Maybe they could confirm that for us...

Think that happened during the time while they were trying to remove the raptor from offending cattle guard.

I might be wrong about the airbags.

These are the same connections I've seen on TT's and Class 8 trucks as well as a few others. I've seen them used on the cross bars around the engine in order to allow removal if necessary. This image comes from Camburgs TT
