It's not Whipple that is designing the Tunes It's Ford Raceing!
Lets hope Ford will answer what most pepole want.
It took Ford over 8 months in testing to release the stock setup Tunes.

Consider me a +1 for long tube header tune...

I didnt spend all that money on headers/exhaust to be forced into a local tuners hands if i get a whipple.

Update on my Whipple Supercharger install.

Dealer installed everything finished on Saturday, the PCM was shipped out Friday to Ford Racing for the 93 octane Tune.
I hope to get it back on Wednesday. Keeping fingers crossed.

I have emailed Dustin and posted in both threads still heard nothing in regards to a tune for those of us with headers. I don't think it will be an issue but would like to here from whipple. I mean all the other forced induction kits are using them and are fine and are producing higher numbers with them.....

That's awesome. Let us know how it is also if you don't mind what did it cost you including purchase of kit.

The kit was standard price (paid in full last year) plus extra for the larger heat exchanger and all shipping fees. Dealer said it would be around $1,500 for installation.
And of course taxes, I'll see what happens when I bring cash :)

I know Dustin said he is very busy and I think he forgot which thread is his. He does answer his emails but he might out of town.
You can email [email protected] as well.

If you want to ask about the Long Tube Headers Tune from Ford everybody has got to make the phone call,
to Ford, Ford Racing and SVT to hound them!!!!

That's the only way Ford will spent tens of thousands of dollars to engineer more Tunes!
It's all the about money you know.

My PCM came back today but too late in the day, they will pop it in tomorrow sometime.
Now, because of work I won't be able to pick it up until Saturday. :-(

I just pick up my truck from Hassett Ford, and I have to say “OMG” and “Holy Shit” and "Shut the front door" now it’s a beast.

Were's that Jeep SRT8 that's been that lives somewhere close by, hounding me for months now, "I got something for him now"

Do you guys remember when you first step on the gas, what a grin we all had.
Well forget that, wait until you sit in one Whipplecharged.

When I walked in to pick up my truck the girls at counters said “he’s here to pick up the beast”. The girls said that's all the service tech kept saying, how fast it is.
The mechanic didn’t really put it to a full test he was afraid he would have replace the transfer case, or something. He did take it out on the Highway.
He said he would leave that up to me to do that, so I give him a ride. He and I can’t believe how quick it goes from 70 to over 120.
He was impressed how more powerful the truck is. Considering how much it weighs and with no other mods.
We did a lock diff launch but the truck started wheel hoping right away. Maybe I have to be more aggressive at launch, maybe 2500 rpm.
I diffinitely do need to relearn how to drive this beast aggressively again.
If you drive normal you can not tell that there is a Whipple installed just a very very faint whine at around 1,500 rpms and up.
We also did a full pull with the diff locked and 4x4, I think I hurt my neck J, blew the mechanic’s mind we both did not expect that. WOW!!!!!!
The Service Tech also pionted out that it's going to take three to four days for the PCM to learn my driving habits, so it will
continue to get better and better, he's knows this from all the Supercharger kits (all Vendors) he has install in the Mustangs in the past

So far after driving the beast home, I have not one issue.
Runs smooth, no surges and Oh yea, to me the drone is not as intense as before.

I want to thank Dustin Whipple, Michael and all your staff for a great job putting this kit together!

Thanks,

“I am now WhippleCharged”

And of course a special thanks to everyone at Hassett Ford of Wantagh NY for really making this mod as easy as possible.

I want to add my opinion, I am glad I saved up and did not go with Headers, Mufflers, CAI, Tuner kits, ect......

This by far is the easiest, best bang for your bucks. And you actually get GAINS, BIG FREAKING GAINS.:waytogo:

I wish I had better writing skills, I can not express myself well enough on how happy I am.

Currently we do not have a 100% dialed in tune for long tubes as this is not part of our testing. We have a test calibration that we are using. We normally do not support this but will be for non-green states on request only.
