Hi, recently I got P0299 ( Turbo Underboost ) and a little later after that P0365 ( Camshaft Position Sensor B Circuit ). I checked hoses to the intercooler and did not see anything loose. Did notice that my air intake had lost the WHIPPLE badge and there are 4 little holes that seem to go through which is concerning ( picture attached ). So I went to the dealer. They flashed the ECU to stock and were not able to reproduce the problem. So now I am left with trouble shooting this my self. Anyone have any ideas on what to try? Thanks!

Yup, but that should not cause underboost if anything should be less restricting no? More concerning is the where the pins for that badge on the inside of the intake ended up? I did tape up the holes but was wondering what ppl here think.

I would suspect it would cause an underboost. It's not a closed system anymore. It would be like drinking from a straw that has a hole in it.

the pins would have been sucked in or found a place to get stuck in.

Do you know what held the plate on? Were those holes alignment tabs or was there something on the inside? If they were held by something on the inside and not secured, that's a crappy design.

Don't know will email whipple support and see what they say. Was trying to see if someone here had similar issues.

Not 100 percent sure but I've seen a picture before and the plate may have been riveted on.

Here's a picture.

I’m pretty sure you got lucky because mine came loose also and the pins are stuck in the plate so when the plate falls the pins go with it! If you found the plate and there’s no pins in it I would be worried!

Did whipple do anything about this for you? I emailed their support have not heard anything. I am still worried as the pins have rivets in the back no?

Mine did not, they just swell inside the plastic and they shake loose hopefully you had the same. Yeah Whipple’s willing to replace the tube but I don’t want any rivets going in my intake tube.

What did you do to fix the holes? I just taped it up but looking for a better solution.
