whipple long tube tune!!!

Well enlighten me, what would have to take place to accomplish this C.A.R.B approval?
For Long Tube Headers and complete exhaust systems with cats.

I'm from NY and right now emissions is a joke but rumor is that this will change, that's why I'm a little (very little) concerned.

All of this is hogwash until there is a C.A.R.B. approved LT for California!!!

Not going to happen. The minute you change the cat make and size, your never going to get it approved. If you can do a medium tube header with stock cats, then that is possible to pass. Changing or modifying the cats is a big no no.

Just for Ha ha's I took a look at the E application form for A.R.B for Cal.
Holly crap you've got to be kidding me. LOL

So even if you double the size of the cats and still be able to keep the heat up and maintain Hi-flow they would know and fail you?
What, they look under the car and measure this stuff out there?

Or are they looking at the numbers that auto companies submit and expect your vehicle to have the exact or very close numbers?

Whipple is a awesome company you guys really helped me out. I had the kooks long tube headers with the kooks y pipe with high flow cats. I got it to pass smog with flying colors barely putting any numbers on the screen by hacking up the kooks y pipe and adding back in the stock cats. With the whipple long tube tune and the stock cats the truck now runs like it doesn't have a supercharger until you stomp the gas pedal on hold on for dear life! Thanks again whipple!
