Had the full whipple kit installed on my truck and now it's slower than stock! WTF?!?!

My truck used to roast the tires from a dig and now, in sport mode, traction control off, it won't even chirp them!

Matter fact, my truck stock used to jump off the line harder with a 6000lb trailer behind it than it does now.

Install was Sano, program took, she's making boost but damm is it slow. I don't understand?

Does this mod take immediately or does it need to be driven for a while to relearn?

Please help! Totally bummed!

I personally think something is wrong because when I talked to whipple about installing it long ago they told me that the install included a before and after dyno.

They didn't say a before dyno, a 300 mile test drive for it to relearn itself and then an after dyno.

And I'm pretty certain they don't hand someone their truck and say here's the before dyno showing 365HP to the wheels and here's your after dyno showing 228HP to the wheels. You happy?!?!

Signed, confused in So Cal

Have you talked to Whipple?

I am curious to know what the answer will be.

On the other hand I did an MPT tune and the reviews were great about power increase and after 500 miles I didn’t notice any power increase but the transmission and throttle response are way better, overall a better driving experience but again I didn’t feel an increase in the power so I will have to call MPT and see what they say about the power.

The tune won't work correctly if the plugs are at the OEM 0.030 gap

Did you re-gap the plugs to 0.025 ? Its in the last line of the last page of Whipple's install instructions.

Try it out

Have you scanned for any hidden codes after flashing?

Although I can understand getting the Whipple tune to work with the kit you purchased, our JDM Engineering tune will chirp the tires on the 2-3 and 3-4 shift from the instant you flash it.

Almost seems like there's a soft start on this tune to keep me from tearing up the driveline. Is that possible?

I'm ok with tearing stuff up lol! I want my truck to be fun again.

I want it to jump hard off the line.

I looked into the pedal commander but it looks like I'll have a twitchy truck with that. Not too excited about the PC option.

If the new whipple tune turns out to be no bueno can I buy your stuff?

When I did my Whipple Kit it was night and day difference immediately, big difference. Something has to be wrong.
