Really are upset aren't you. Weird. You haven't seen my trailer. The trailer doesn't alter the Raptor looks. The trailer is towed to a base camp and detached so I can explore the area. And...unlike the OP I didn't ask for your opinion. When an opinion is asked for you get what you get. Toppers are gross on Raptors and if it hurts your feelings I'm sorry but it's true. That doesn't mean I don't understand the utility...for some...or that you shouldn't do it if that's your thing. Not sure why you decided to attack me for my opinion...that was asked for...and offer your uninformed(you've not seen mine) opinion when it was NOT asked for. You are going way out of your way to be obnoxious. My advice...that was asked for...to the OP is to get the least expensive quality option as looks aren't important due to both of the presented options looking bad...my advice stands.

Not upset at all. I am "attacking you" because it is ironic that you can call toppers ugly, but you yourself are hauling a trailer, whose purpose is to carry the same gear and do the same kinds of things as to what a topper/camper does. But yet, your way is somehow superior and not gross looking because you have preserved your Raptor's look by not sticking such gear in your bed; rather, it is just 15 ft behind your Raptor. You don't see the logical inconsistency with that? And to be clear, the OP was asking for feedback between two toppers—not for feedback on how toppers are gross.

I know exactly what a Patriot X3 camper looks like.... I also know it is a waste of $50k too.

I get it. Not everyone likes the look of a topper/camper set up. I personally like the look of a Raptor better without one myself. But such a set up allows me to travel light and secure my gear, while not having the hassle of hauling a 3000-lb trailer and so forth. My point to you is that it is stupid to criticize someone on a modification, when you yourself are doing/trying to achieve the same thing as the person that you are criticizing. The only difference between you and I is that you have chosen to put all your stuff on a trailer, while I have not. Sure my Raptor's looks may suffered (I would argue yours has as well), but your Raptor's performance has suffered greatly on-road because you are hauling a trailer. I can hit a corner at 70 mph on the hwy, while you can't because your hauling a trailer.

Your stuck with your fugy topper 24/7. I'm only towing a trailer to base camp. All other off roading and daily driving I am free of anything that detracts from looks/performance. To each their own. I'm not hijacking the post to argue trailer vs topper. I will still say that the least amount of money for the highest quality topper...if that's your thing...is the way to go regardless of looks at looks don't matter once you put a topper on.

I didn't ask for your opinion on a topper in general, further I stated that I'm not crazy about how they look, but the function outweighs that. It's really easy to just scroll on and not litter threads with your ********.

And you double down again. I didn't ask if you think toppers look good. No one did. You don't like the look. Noted. Your opinion isn't advice, it's just your opinion. Learn the difference. Just because you think they look bad no matter what, doesn't mean the rest of us do. And I asked specifically which topper looked best, you asserted an opinion that they look bad no matter what. What good does that do anyone?

I don't think any topper looks great on a Raptor, but if your needs call for one, the ARE looks better of the two described originally.

I am not a huge fan of the look of toppers but I love the versatility for camping, hunting, etc. That being said I have the Snugtop XTR on mine and it seems to do a good job. I like the look of the red ATC best. Good luck on your decision.

I went with a Snugtop Rebel. Pretty happy with it. It's nice and sleek, has the keyed locks that work with the remote, twin LED strip lighting ... Couldn't be happier.

That being said, I went with this one because I have animals I need to put in the back. If I didn't, I'd probably have gone the RSI route or something else that's window-less

MAN do you have more pictures of your topper setup? I'm pulling the trigger on a rebel soon and seems I'm getting all the options you have (I'm in the same pet situation.) I would greatly appreciate it! Their website is...not great.
