I went with the Pace Edwards Electric roll up cover. It doesnt rip itself out of your truck while offroading like so many of the covers do..
Which ones Dub? My G4 performs like new after XXXX hard high speed off road miles. And I've seen the BakFlip do every bit as well on trucks like bstoners (who has probably 2x the off road miles on his as I do on mine).

Just called the Bak Flip factory and they tell me that the hardware does not allow the factory installed bed extender to rotate out, whew, with all the great reviews I almost went out and bought one.

Thanks BigJ, I just finished reading your 2010 posts with the 2011 follow up on your bed cover, all the pics really helped. So far I cannot find another cover that has the folding panels that will work with the extend a bed option, it looks like the reason yours works is because it actually mounts on top of the bed rails instead of the flush kind that has the hardware below the top of the bed. Covering the top of the rails is no big deal as our trucks don't have any factory installed eylets. How much did you pay for the cover?

I think you're exactly right. I use that extender all the time and I have to admit clearing the cover isn't something I ever considered. It would have been a REAL bummer to find out after it was installed. I basically got lucky on this one. Good job thinking it thru beforehand! :peace:

If I recall correctly, I paid somewhere around $750 incl tax and shipping from Truck Alterations. And it came with the tailgate seal.

wait, can somebody confirm this????

The bakflip f1 rails interfere with the factory bed extender so you can't rotate it out????? I've never once read that before.

Hmm something's up here. This is from their FAQ, BakFlip Tonneau Cover - Installation a little more than half way down the page:

Does this cover work with "flip out" Bed Extenders that flip over onto the tailgate?
Absolutely! The cover works with all Bed Extenders.

But a little googling shows this: Bakflip Drainage Tube Fix For Bed Extender - Ford F150 Forum

Those pics tell me if you tried to rotate the extender out, you'd be right into that drainage tube. Does this guy's fix solve that issue? Not sure...

It may not be as nice looking as the bak covers flush mount but I can't say enough good things about my Extang Solid fold cover. It is weatherproof and very strong, I'm pushing 280 and I can stand on it with no deflection at all. It folds back or can be completely removed in under a minute if need be. It also definitely does work with bed extenders.

I don't know what model he has there but I can confirm the F1 I jsut installed only has drain tubes on the front of the cover, none in the rear to interfere. I took my bed extenders off for the swing cases but me thinks it would have worked just fine.
