Nacho, a couple things to consider before pulling the trigger:

1- do you need access to the bed without having to first drop the tailgate?

2- do you need access to the front of the bed without having to fold the cover all the way up?

If yes to either, check out the Fold A Cover G4 Elite. If no to both, you're gonna love the BakFlip. Definitely an awesome cover.

Thanks J. Looking at it on Truckaddons.com and they offer a good $150 discount right off the bat. Then I applied the 30 dollar coupon bringing it down to $594.

Let me get in touch with Morrie and see what he can offer for it. I like the accessibility of the G4.

Is it true you have to drill into the rail to install the G4?

I think J would be the best to chime in on that. If you read the link to his thread on the install process, they said it was "over engineered" and took about 2.5 hours to install....so i'm going to guess some drilling was done....lets see what J has to say.

PS. I emailed Morrie just now...lets see what magic he can work.

I have the F1 and I love it. Hands down the best bed cover I have ever owned.

Is it true you have to drill into the rail to install the G4?
Keep in mind, I paid to have it installed by the "professionals" at a local big box 4x4 supply house. These are the same "professionals" that botched every single step of installing an onboard compressor I bought from them; an install I had to do all over again from scratch.

So my initial notes about their comments and how long it took them? Throw them out the window. After the compressor debacle, I have zero trust in anything they said or did about the G4.

Having said all that, what I can tell you is my installers did drill 4 holes, 2 per side to hold the trim/weather stripping pieces on. These holes look like they're maybe 3/16" and only penetrate the plastic OEM bed rail cap. Looks to me like they drilled in above where the stake holes are in the sheet metal, so they did not drill holes in the metal.

But we're only talking about holes for the trim pieces. They are not part of the structure nor do they bare any weight or stress. All the stress/functional parts are bolted on to the sheet metal of the bed, and no holes were drilled for that.

After watching the video below (PS I can't stand these guys, but in the first few minutes they demo how to install the rail of the cover) its obvious that the "professionals" who installed my cover chose not to remove the OEM plastic caps and instead install the G4 rails right over the top. This required drilling 4 small holes. I'd bet if they had removed the caps they could have used the included hardware (as shown in the video) to install the rails instead.

Also note in the video how the finished install has a lower profile than mine. Again, I think this is because the knuckleheads, erh "professionals", who did my install didn't remove the plastic caps, to then be able to mount the rails directly to the bed's sheetmetal rail. And so my cover is sitting up probably 1/2" to 3/4" higher than it probably should. It hasn't been a problem at all, just sayin...

Hope that helps.

Let me know (through PM if you must) what you find out. I'm looking to pull the trigger sooner rather than later.

OH, also... Just to make sure you get all the info: the one on truckaddons DOES include the tailgate seal. That's actually a big deal because dust gets in through the tailgate really easily. If Morrie gives you a better deal without that, it's a $30 part as an FYI. But I'm assuming Morrie will get you a better complete deal :)

I went with the Pace Edwards Electric roll up cover. It doesnt rip itself out of your truck while offroading like so many of the covers do...plus you can stand on it, it looks awesome, and with the pop-n-lock tailgate selenoid, its like having a safe in my pickup bed...no way in if the cover is closed and doors are locked.
