Which tonneau is best for my needs?

I tried searching the forums for this, but I couldn't find any results. I am looking for a hardtop, locking, waterproof, securable tonneau cover for my Raptor. I want to be able to store stuff in the back while having the peace of mind that it's secured. Also, I would need to be able to put my motorcycle (Yamaha R6) in the back.

The retractable ones have caught my attention a lot, but I am nervous if those will take up too much space and hinder me from being able to put my motorcycle in the back. It's fine if it takes up some space in the back since a part of the front wheel will be able to fit underneath it.

Please let me know if any of y'all were in my same shoes before and which tonneau you went with. Thanks!

Your bike according to wiki is roughly 81 inches long. Our beds are 5 1/2' or 66 inches (Ford spec is 67 inches...whatever). Even putting the back wheel on the tail gate, you are going to need every inch of bed space. The roll up tonneau's have that box at the front of the bed and I don't think your front wheel will go under it (you might damage your front fender as well). I think that you are looking for a soft roll-up type of tonneau that is above the rails. Look at the Access Limited.

One thing about the soft roll-ups is that I won't have any security in it. My brother has an 08 Silverado 1500 with the 5.75 ft bed, and he was able to put his R6 in the back of it with the tailgate down. The tire barely rested on the tail gate.

I went with a BakFlip f1. It should fold up enough to allow your motorcycle. It is rather secure, of course anything can be overcome if a person wants in your truck bed bad enough.

i love my rugged cover tri fold. its a soft cover yes. but its easy to take off and on and has a litte light in it so i can see at night. its got a water tight fit (had mine installed at the dealer) i trust that covers waterprofness enough to put my laptop and other electronics back there.

come off real fast and when its off theres not rim from it around the bed nothing its all one unit.

your r6 should fit in purfect if you put the front tire on the drivers side and the back tire on the passenger side. thats how we got home a few bikes now... from my buell to my fz8 done it with a r6 and a 1980 xs1100 midnight special. but thats besides the point.

and its relatively cheep. i think its like 375.

I went with a BakFlip f1. It should fold up enough to allow your motorcycle. It is rather secure, of course anything can be overcome if a person wants in your truck bed bad enough.

I have been reading amazing reviews on these BakFlips. The only negative thing I have read was the Roll-X can come loose while off-roading; whereas, the Fibermax/F1s have not (at least from what I have read). I also enjoy the fact that I can fold it up and use it as a table for my beer

I am not speaking from personal experience.

On my Tacoma I wanted a Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit Slim because it was metal, retractable, and flush mount. It had a canister though that sat at the front of the bed and took up about 6". That was a 6' bed.

I'll take the Roll-X on my Raptor because it is metal, flush, and doesn't take any space in the bed. From what I've read it takes up 4" ON TOP of the bed rails so technically, you don't lose any bed space. As far as the "offroading" it seems there are new rails that have been manufactured to remedy this.

BakFlip F1. Very water resistant. Very secure. F1 is the strongest version they make. Off-road ready. Zero loss of bed space/height. I'll be purchasing one shortly.

Stay away from retractable covers on a Raptor...they don't like to get jostled around too much.
