My wife and 2 daughters 13 and 19 want to go to Colorado this summer. We frequently go in winter to Ski, but they want to experience it in summer.

I want to work in some time in Utah for some light off roading / sight seeing.

Is there a good city in Colorado to Use as a base or at least a starting place. I was thinking 2-3 days in several spts over 10 days or so.

Driving from St. Louis. Just not sure where all I need to hit. Rafting, hiking, biking, food, sights, and off roading.

Grand Junction is going to be the closest to Moab and is a good base/central location.

I live in Grand Junction and would be happy to show you around/answer any questions.

GJ is a perfect base for biking, hiking, rafting, and off-roading.

We make the St Louis to Colorado every other year, rotating skiing with a summer trip. If you are planning to move your base camp around and not stay in the same area before heading to UT, we enjoy the Breck area for mountain biking as well as the paved trail all the way to Vail.
Buena Vista has great white water rafting on the Arkansas (Performance Tours). I think you will have fun no matter where you go/stay.

BTW I am a little confused by your EN4SER with a Go Blues38. When I think of 38, the late great Pavol Demitra is the only Blue that comes to mind. And while I loved watching him play, an enforcer he was not. In my mind, the best enforcer was 18, nobody wanted to mess with Tony Twist. although 39 - Kelly Chase was more colorful and could get under the skin of opponents.

May send you a PM in the coming weeks. Thanks for the offer. just needs some advice on things, not really a tour.

Thanks for asking.

Back in the mid 90's when the internet became a thing, I needed a screen name. "GOBLUES" was taken. But, Ron Caron had just stolen Pavel Detmitra from Ottawa, and was tearing up the score sheets. He has always been my favorite Blue after Brett Hull.

i was just looking for some good hockey related words for my plate. I have played hockey since i was 10, now 48. I was kind of an enforcer in my youth, so it is where I landed. And Todd Ewen was the best Blues enforcer. he wiped the floor with Twist in camp when Twist was coming up.

The Professor made a number of great trades, and Demitra is certainly at the top of the list. Ewen could drop the gloves with the best of them, in my mind, I'd take Twist in his prime. LGB
