So i have been waiting for the new Gen 3 for some time and being able to order, but with covid and stuff nothing appeared on Ford's website .com or .ca and then in July it appeared and was able to biuld and price. In Canada they seem to be a bit behind from the U.S site and followed it and then it appeared on .ca site.
Talking to some friends that work at the assembly plant here in Canada the rumour was that Ford was stopping 2021 versions and jumping to 2022 builds because of the late date of starting and chip issues. Although the build on the site did state it was for 2021 I went through what i would like.
So at my local dealership I took my 2017 and nagotiated a trade in value and ordered my Gen3. The manager stated that he had a meeting with Ford and they were only allocated so many units and they were going to be 2021. So after all that they ordered my spec and Ford Canada confirmed the order. I also learned about tracking my order online but the only info i got from the dealer was build number #0001 and no serial number so the tracking will not work without it, anyways I hope that they turn it into a 2022 year model if possible and built at the end of Sept as they stated.
