Well I got mine and they were not yet trimmed. They definitely will cover the shocks and look like shit. They look like they would be somewhat difficult to trim correctly. Some ideas that I had were possibly trying the Dremel rotary tool vs a pair of tin snips vs maybe a razor. What did you guys try? Did it work out? It looks pretty easy to screw this up. I actually called Husky and they sent me a pre-paid return label for a full refund. They also sent be a 15% off coupon so I could re-order the pre-cut version but $16 is not worth this hassle I don't think. Will someone please post a picture of the one that is pre-cut from Husky installed on their truck so that I can see how much it covers the shock please. I don't want my raptor to look like a damn chevy avalanche.

Installed mine yesterday. I had to notch them out because they forgot to. While I was at it I trimmed up the area by the shocks. I called and asked for some details on where they needed to be cut. But by the time I got the email from Husky with the pics I was already done figuring it out on my own. They look and fit really good now.

I would say that it looks better than nothing in the wheel well at all but mine are going back. Looking at the wheel well myself, I would think that someone could produce these and do it correctly. Oh well, maybe Line-x. Thanks evil.

I got mine and saw these posts the day before they arrived, Husky Engineer told me only the rear of each needed to be trimmed and provided the same half-ass photos as above. i could't help but laugh when I got the photos. Took them out, and realized there was at least 2 spots needing to be trimmed. I said screw it and I am returning. I'll go a different route.

Husky Liners

I would be embarassed to identify myself as the "engineer" of these liners. Very smug and unhelpful crew there.

I called them and they are sending me a new set. I'll look them over before trying again. I almost broke my wheel molding trying to get the first set installed.

I'm not necessarily handy, but I'm also not a complete moron. Nothing should be that difficult.

I agree and I'm glad they are sending out replacements quickly and covering the expense. There's a good thread in that shows how they installed as well as the troubleshoot points. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2017RaptorDiscussion/

Husky removed their product listing and install guide at some point this week from their site for these liners. Thankfully I saved a copy of the install guide below for anyone who may need it.

There's even a customer in that group who was able to tighten up the portion of the liner over the shock as it was flopping around.

Holes are already there. I just bent up some flat stock. Distance was 3.5" drivers side and 4" passenger side. I used a bolt to hold the bracket to the body and used the same kind of clip and screw that came with the liners to hold the liner to the bent up bracket.

He did one amazing job with this. I know some guys will want to trim there's to show more of the shock and that's possible.

If yours shipped out on Thursday or after, Husky claims that they made the correct fix to those. Any liners after that date are having very little issues with bolting up.

Thank you for the detailed post and pics NJStangersJonathan! I am a little concerned about the winter ice/salt mixture getting behind the liner and not being able to get to it to clean without removing the liner. In your opinion, after installing a set, does it look like there are spots that mud and crap will get behind and cause problems? If so, how big of a deal will it be to remove a liner to clean behind it?
Thanks!
