Wheel Spacers, are you with or against?

If spacers are used to correct minor offset problems, and there are properly engineered and fitted, there is no problem.
If it requires longer studs torque needs to be addressed.
If the spacer exceeds the hub centering step the wheel needs to be machined to accommodate.
If you go for a spacer that get bolted to the hub and the wheel gets bolted to the spacer...it better be forged steel (JMTCW)

Fyi....I returned these and have not and will not use any spacers. Just buying a wheel with proper offset. Not for or against the use of spacers. Just not for me.

Pretty much up to you. You can listen to the advice that says the physics put a much higher load on your bearings and suspension and it's a bad idea or you can listen to the folks who put them on and haven't had an issue YET.

Comparisons to racing are interesting. Some can be very relevant and some can be a complete joke. In most race cars the motor is rebuilt every couple of races. So if a race engine runs just fine with some mystery fuel or boost or something it doesn't mean it will run for 100K mile and 10 years in a truck.

Read some good websites on wheel offsets and the physics of it. It's pretty easy to draw a solid conclusion after that.

I have been considering the 1" spacers below.

I am not too worried about failure because of the the way I use my truck and hub centric spacers have a "double shear" characteristic. Meaning, for this spacer to break off it has to shear the hub centric lip and all six studs/bolts. My only concern would be keeping the spacer tight, and thread locker should fix that.

In regards to premature wear, this application will not make the OEM wheel stick out any further than an aftermarket wheel.

I agree wheel spacers are the exception and not the norm.

I just like the look of the OEM wheels and haven't found any aftermarket wheels I like.

Im running walker evans true beads. With more negative offset. Plus 1.5 spacers. Ive jumped my truck twice now. No issues after visual inspections.

I had 1.25 wheels spacers on my fj cruiser and had no problems it was off-road almost every day jumping and a lot of high speed stuff never had a problem. I to love the look of the stock beadlock wheels but do think they could be pushed out a touch and I don't like the fact the the methods stick way out of the fenders that's great for out west but in the east mud and winters will trash the paint I believe
