Has anyone ordered these wheel locks from SDHQ? Wondering what the black finish consists of and how scratch-resistant it is.

yes how well do they hold up, and will they work on OEM wheels or only aftermarket? I'm thinking OEM wheels are the same as earlier model f150's and not an acorn style lug?

Call me crazy but I'd actually like a set of spike style lugs, not anywhere NEAR as big as the tractor trailer ones, but much much smaller, but i think it'd be pretty cool if just the OEM style or spline style ones had a point on the end. Only sticking out 1/4" or 1/2" or something, NOT 2-3" LOL

TOO big and cheesy looking, but thats what I mean with the point...

these are even big, but I think they look decent...

although hmmmm some blue lugs would look sweet against the black wheel on my blue flame truck...

14 x 2 is correct. I have the non black version that Four wheel parts sent with my wheels. THey are a Pro Comp part. I personally love them, but would suggest getting an extra adaptor in case the one they provide gets lost.
I wish I had black, but am not going to buy a set for $50 or whatever they are just to get black.

The black coating is a powdercoat finish. We have done numerous trucks over the past couple years and I have yet to see them scratch, or even scuffed. And yes, they are nearly impossible to get off with just a regular socket.

Thanks Jason, these will work with the stock wheels, correct? And is it possible to order an extra "key" with the set?

Does the SDHQ Splined set work with aftermarket wheels? If I'm getting aftermarket wheels, do I need new lug nuts?

They. Have the same beveled end. Why wouldn't they work.

The stock wheels are hub centric and the lugs are not tapered like those.

You will likely need new lugs yes. If the aftermarket wheels are lug centric they will have tapered holes meant to accept splined lug nuts like above . In most cases the stock lugs won't even fit let alone be proper

will the SDHQ lugs work with the new 2012 wheels? If so I will have to pre-order as I sit here waiting for delivery over the next few weeks/months
