Looks like the consensus is Deavers. Oh well, I guess I was foolish to assume that I wasnt going to have to spend any more money on a $75K truck. About $6K in and still going! :(

Don't push the pedal that hard!! Just kidding the Gen1 had the same issue and I did Deavers +3 on that truck and in 90% of my driving it eliminated it. I am going with the Icon springs and a KHC Torque arm on the Gen2. I will do the springs fist for a few thousand miles since I want the extra load capacity of the springs and see how it is then add the torque arm if needed. I think the Torque arm would be great by it's self if you don't need any increase in payload or ride height that springs give you.

Everyone (in this thread) has recommended Deavers. I've also heard about Icon springs. Any thoughts on the differences between those two? Why Deavers vs Icons, or why Icons vs Deavers? I've got a bit of tire hop (especially when hitting bumps on the road while in the middle of a turn) and will also be buying a camper trailer at some point, so I'm interested in doing one of those two springs options.

Ask anyone with Deavers and they'll tell you they rust out within a few months. If I were to buy different springs, it would definitely be the Icons. Deavers were the first to market for the Gen 2, hence their initial popularity. I've seen quite a few friends ditch their deavers for icons. Icon in general is not without problems, but is definitely one of the best options when it comes to Raptor stuff, and they are very involved with the community.

Ultimately, you are driving a truck - in particular, one with high torque and a very light back end. It was normal even in my 95 C1500 - the aluminum bed only makes it worse. Aftermarket springs will help, but there are always tradeoffs, money being the biggest and most obvious one.

I have had it on my 2011 3.5 EB F150 for 5+ years and it pretty much eliminated my wheel hop issues. I will also be installing it on my future raptor. It also helps with sway and rearend sag when loaded.

"Rust out" is a strong statement. Did yours rust completely through and break? If they did, I am sure Deaver will gladly replace them.

If you are talking about surface rust which happens on ALL leaf springs, then yes it happens even to icons that have been powder coated. Check around this forum and you can read why Deaver stopped offering powder coating as an option. Like the icons, the powder coat eventually flakes off due to the surface rust underneath. If surface rust bothers you it is very easy to paint over the areas that are visible. I paint the outside and bottoms of mine every time I rotate my tires at 5000 mile intervals. After more than year, they look fine and work the same as the day they were installed.
