what's this under hood wire for??

Hey was just hooking up some lights, and me, poking around, found this wire, that's terminated right next to the brake fluid resi on the drivers side. Its blue w/ orange stripe. What's it go to?

Seems like a way to add an LED brake light bar without monkeying with the rear light housing wiring.

I believe it is intended to be used if you place a camper or shell on the rear for an attachment point to pick up the third brake.. It was pointed out if you pickup the lighting at the tail light housing you would get a blink when the turn signal was on, so not the place to get it..

Anyone know for sure if it is related to brake lights or just someone's guess?
