Whats an easy sound system upgrade?

Its is likely the way this ends up. Sounds perfect.

I have found that a good “local shop” isn’t as easy to find these days … so do your research. None around me I trust too much.

The vendors here can take care of you if you’re willing to install yourself.

Think the cheapest setup I've done on a Raptor was around $3000 and then the owner quickly decided to go bigger. Hope that helps you. Just keep in mind that the bypass unit costs a lot and all the stuff needed to work with it adds to the costs further. Bass isn't cheap so decide now if you are going big up front or wasting a ton of time and money figuring out you need to upgrade later.

In theory, you can... But the person "boosting" the signal for amplification needs to have a full understanding of all-pass filters, time delay, phase, etc to pull this off. To keep it simple, count the number of channels/speakers you want to amplify and buy that amplifier. Do NOT sum signals, no DSP, etc unless you have a clear understanding of what you can and cannot touch on the factory signal with that DSP.

Last part, you will need to ForSCAN the truck to send the chimes to the gauge cluster since you will now amplify those with no way to turn them down.

I started out much like you. There really aren't any shortcuts with the factory B&O system. The sound deadening and foam rings, block off plates are a good start and helps make the doors 'dead". As others mentioned to do it right you need the Zen box which is $800 right off the top. The "stealth" system looks like a good package for $4k. Even once I was done with the components a good tuner is worth the money for your dsp and Sounds Good in their packages already come tuned. What is a booster in the speaker wire? I'm 50, never heard of such a thing. But, you will get better sound out of amplfiing stock speakers over upgrading speakers with the amplification of the stock system. Question is for how long because the stock speakers were not made for that.

An Amplifier.....gotcha. Never heard anyone call it that. Two i bought for my truck...went with Sundown however.
