What would you do? Low MPG on new to me Gen 2.

I had a tune on mine, sold the the tuner and left it stock. My mpg were about 14 mixed as well. Since running the stock tune and now being my daily my mpg's are showing 16.1-16.5 vs. 14.5-15.1. Very slight difference and I drive like a grandma going to church Sunday morning.

You could disconnect your battery and it should reset your range. Truck should learn your driving habits and recalculate.

I have had 3 F150’s and based on that 10 year history, it is all about You and where you drive.

Highway 65 and over, you might as well be towing a trailer. Drive the same highway 35 miles each way for 6 months. I would set the cruise at 60, 65, 70 for that week and you are talking 3-4 mpg easily.

City is another mega variable. City for me may is 10 stops in 2-3 mile radius. Others City is 3 stops in 10 miles. Much worse mpg in my daily…

How you stop/start is also a big one. Some people are 0-40 in 1/4 mile other are 0-40 in 1 mile. If you are making a pass, do you increase your speed 1 mph to “overtake” or are you accelerating and getting pass done and getting over (instead of blocking the left lane).

I have not had a car/truck under 450 hp in 10 years so HP is not a big deal. I don’t drive raptor like a track car. I average 14 mpg in my world, if that was 10mph, then I would investigate.

City driving 14 is about right. On highway long trip, lucky to hit 17, more like 16.8. Overall mix city/highway, 15-16 so you aren't that far off. That's my mpg with 3 Gen2 and a Gen3.

I've done 3 xcountry trips on Raptors. Only once did I average 17. Every other time 16.8, all highway.

Out here I get better mileage up in the mountains. Thin dry air doesn't provide much wind resistance. I once got 21 crossing the Rockies when traffic kept me down under 60mph. It's down at sea level with high humidity where my mileage drops.
I’ve gotten 20.5 on the gauge and done math to back it up in OBX where everyone’s on Island time. Once closer to 20, another time closer to 21.

me too. If you can manage some full tank stretches the truck does a great job being thrifty for almost 6k pounds

Welcome! Your NOT Prius looks great! I do a lot of highway trips with my 2020 SCREW. I use 87 octane for fuel, generally keep the speed around 74-76 and get around 16.5 to 17.5 mpg. I know I’m giving up HP, but 87 works great with no knock. I’ve read several articles that stated that I’m giving up ~30 HP by not burning 93 octane gas. I find that I actually do better mileage when I’m controlling the throttle of instead of cruise control. When I do get on it, it’s real easy to get the mileage to drop into the 13-14 mpg range. It’s all about how quickly you want to get to the speed you want to run. I usually run in Normal, 2H mode, tires @38 psi, running full synthetic, and remembering that air filters are cheaper than fuel. Unfortunately though, the bigger my smile, the lower my mileage. But then again, that’s why bought the Raptor and not a Prius. Keep smiling!
