What surfaces can Baja mode be used

I want to use Baja mode on gravel roads but the instruction manual says do not use Baja mode on solid surfaces, Does that refer to being on pavement or do you have to be on really loose surfaces like sand to use Baja mode? I don't like using the offroad setting due to how the throttle is set up, even though it says for use on gravel roads. I just don't want to mess anything up on my drivetrain.

Would be fine if you set to baja and then switch to 2wd.

Same question as above but with “slippery” mode. The picture shows rain coming down but the manual says never on pavement or at least dry pavement.

Gravel is not a solid surface. Using 4WD on gravel roads is perfectly acceptable.
