I cringe at the thought of you people going through a drive through car wash with a vehicle you care about.
Drive through car washes are for rental cars and beaters.
Can you elaborate on why please? In between hand washing what would the issue be with a quick touchless automatic wash?

Touch less isn’t so bad, I was mainly referring to the brushes in auto car wash bays. I will run mine through a touch less wash in the winter once or twice, otherwise it’s a proper foam cannon, followed by a hand wash and blow dry topped off with quick detailer/wax.
I’m OCD though, and it doesn’t help that one of my first jobs in high school was at a detail shop, where I learned to love (a curse in a way) to detail my own car. Many years later as my cars have gotten nicer, I spend way too much time cleaning them.

Not interested in Gen3 unless they bring back the SCAB.

Looks like the last newest Raptor you’re going to own is a Gen 2. I understand your sentiments, I just can’t see Ford making one since I can’t imagine the Super Cab Raptor is more than 5% of sales. Actually probably much less. There are quite a few Raptors in my area. I think I’ve only seen 1-2 that are Super Cabs. I’m sure the rest of the country isn’t just like my region, but I bet they are similar.

Nice man! I used to detail cars in high school as well. In the ideal world, I’d be handwashing every week like I was when I was in college… But life gets busy doesn’t it?

I've wanted a Raptor since they were first released, but I refuse to finance vehicles. I'm finally in a spot where I'm fortunate enough to be able to pay cash for one.

Working 60 hours/week with a baby due in mere weeks, I’m almost ready to hire a detailer… almost
