What is this cable?

Looking around the engine today, I found this cable. Based on the bracket attached to it, it looks like it’s suppose to be attached to something. Anyone know what it is or if it’s suppose to be laying loose like this? It’s on the driver side up by the fire wall.

it just clips to the bolt threads under the reservoir.

Front diff vent?

Yeah, its the vent tube for the front diff, hook it back up to one of the bolts on the master cylinder, keep it up high.

As the others said, that is your front diff vent. Just re-secure it as Antho mentioned.
