what is "normal" coolant temp on a gen 2

I know this is an old thread but I have had my truck since December and I am new to ecoboost and have been concerned about coolant and trans temps. Being that I am old school looking for lower temps as a norm, this motor might be very different. I agree that cooling the charge air is good for performance, the engine oil and trans fluid may not need to be what I am used to. We may be trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist. Found an interesting read.

Im 194-198 at Idle now after replacing my thermostat, had a sticky one after cam phaser replacement. Running down the road im 199-210 solo after coming off boost up a slight grade and head wind. When I had a sticky thermostat id hit 232 and be normal in the 212-218 area.
