Augmented engine noise pumped through the Raptor speakers in unison with actual acceleration. Sounds much deeper and throatier than the engine exhaust is in reality, only audible in the cabin

It's always on. Forscan is probably the easiest way to turn it off. I haven't turned mine off but have heard its pretty minimal and not a night and day difference one way or the other.

If it doesn't really make a difference then why would they do something so tacky? A 70K+ truck that needs FAKE engine noise pumped through the speakers? I "really" love this truck but am "really" turned off by this. OMG I can't grasp this....

I remember test driving an manual trans EB Mustang a few years back when I was looking for a commuter car. On high RPM shifts the fake noise wasn’t keeping up with what the engine was actually doing, so the fake engine noise was still mimicking 6K when I was already completing my shift. Super annoying and lame.

So the raptor isn't the only vehicle this is done on? I've NEVER heard of this.
