haha, so what really happened? a bird fly into you or what? or did you trip and fall as you were applying dust to make it look like you were offroading.......

From my 4 Raptor Runs in 6 months post:

Now for the lessons learned regarding recovery:

On my next run up Test Hill I stopped short of the top and dug in. I was literally 10 feet from the summit and stuck up to my step rails. I should have followed Jason’s radio advice and let someone pull me back down, but I was sooooo close to the top and had an offer from a winched Raptor for a pull up. Mistake #1 and lesson #1…When on a steep hill, going against gravity is not smart! Mistake #2 and lesson #2, Always check the tow points of not only your vehicle, but also the guy who is giving you the recovery. I used a shackle on my truck but did not pay attention to the connection point of the recovery vehicle. He used an open hook which snapped and proceeded to projectile through my grill and into the radiator and oil cooler. Luckily, Big Blue is a tough son of a gun and while it did not look pretty there were no leaks and she still let me drive her hard the rest of the trip and all the way home.

Final damage: Replacement Grill , Replacement Radiator, Replacement Oil Cooler, Replacement Air Conditioner Condenser and a nice war wound dimple in the center of my ADD bumper to remind me in the future to always follow the rules of recovery.

I refuse to drive offroad...it's a $50,000 truck!! Why would I risk damaging it when I can park at the local Starbucks, lean on my hood with my skinny mochlite girly coffee drink and watch everyone look at me and my truck? You guys that offroad your trucks don't get it...:yaoface2:

Sitting on the lap of someone you love
I get comments mostly from dudes but I have received a couple from the wimminz as well. I was up at the storage place where I keep my trailer and the female manager came out while I was washing it and said "I love that truck." And once at work a lady was walking by and said "That's a beautiful truck!" So while I wouldn't call it a chic magnet it does have some attraction to the female persuasion. :hump:

I get it all the time. "How can you spend $50k on a vehicle and want to offroad it?!"

Over here at White Star Industries, we have to keep the flagship OD Green Raptor looking good to show off to other Raptor owners. I mean, if our truck was dirty, how could somebody see the parts? I mean what would they think?!

We also trailer our truck to every event, so as to make sure nothing happens to it while driving on the pavement. It would be Absolutely Devastating if it got scratched! OMG
