Did another oil change today. I'm able to do it without making a mess and only removing the small panel in the skid plate. Installed my aftermarket wheels today too, even though it snowed all day today :mad:.
32k on my truck now. Found my stabilizer links have play in them. Scheduled an appointment to get them replaced. Other than the IWE issue I had, this truck has need great. Uses zero oil between changes (4k intervals), and the longer I own it the better I like it. Just wanted to add the positive comment because no one ever stopped at the dealerships I worked at and said "truck's been great, thanks alot", lol.

Went out on a Backroad 4WD training course over the weekend, had a great time. Unfortunately, my '17 went belly up halfway through the first day. Thankfully the class was all about technique, observation, and education, so while I missed out on a little driving I still got all the actually training I wanted.

Good reminder that these trucks are just really loud computers, and shit can go sideways in a hurry. I ordered myself some new skid plates and will probably get some rock sliders ordered pretty soon. Anyone have any thoughts on the Rocky Road Kickersliders vs White Knuckle? I went with Foutz for the extended skid plates and shock guard on the passenger rear shock, and Krazy House Customs for the gas tank skid plate and differential cage.

No I mean the fronts... the front hubs/knuckles look untouched yet the shocks are out?
Oh. I had to undo the tie rod, uca, lines and swaybar to get the shocks out. I just put it back together finger tight so the knuckle wasn’t being held up by the bungie cord that I used initially. If you look closely even the lower shock bolt is in the LCA. You most definitely have to remove that to get the shock removed. The job wasn’t too bad except the driver side mounting hardware for the reservoir uses a button top allen head bolt and the center of it stripped out. I tried everything to get that SOB out. I finally had to make a trip to Walmart and buy a Dremel 3000 and cut the bolt head off. For me, seems like no job goes perfect.

Well darn, we are a Foutz and KHC reseller and could of gotten you a FRF deal. I haven’t heard of those rock sliders but we have always sold the RPG one because it attaches to the frame and not the cab underside edge where the factory running board attaches. Attaching there doesn’t offer that same strength. Wish I could sell the RPG but they are out of stock. Looking at those other two, I would opt for the white knuckle one as it appears to mount to the frame. It doesn’t look like the Rocky Road one does

Well yeah, I know a guy who sells them too. LOL
Problem is I really like the Method Trail Series wheels with beadgrip that I have and it's just really tight with most 17" wheels and I have seen just a rock get stuck when on the trails. I have absolutely no desire what-so-ever to ever put larger wheels on as all my upgrades are 98% to increase off-road capability. Now I know that BBK can help in off-road situations but I am happy with our Freedom Motorsports OEM brake package upgrade in the increase braking performance that it provides and so are thousands of others. BBK with a more open wheel design does look good though, hence why I have BBK on my GT500 instead. :cool:

So you're saying if you do a BBK then you'll have to change offset or wheel size?

And the intercooler kit is required? What is this thing...

Haha. No lights included.

The adapt GPS bar is another $3000.

Frame has to be cut yes.

Intercooler needed.
