most car bumpers are plastic, as long as they were prepped correctly there shouldn't be any issues.

LOL… I think the stubby antenna is how we all start! Truck looks great man. Super clean with the color matched flares and black KC overlays. Well done.

Yep stubbys are a gateway. Mine was modded when I bought her cept for the stubby......it went downhill when I did that

Nope, stubby antennas are for …, well "stubby" people. The straight up antenna of 24-36" length is MUCH better for radio reception as it is closer to the wavelength (actually 1/4 wave) of the FM signal. A stubby antenna will NEVER match the reception of the standard antenna. YMMV

I need the long antenna for parking garage adventures when I have to go to DC...great warning sign. NEVER trust those signs for clearance. Ask me how I know....

Anyway, today I packed my truck for a run to the OBX for a week or so.
