@richnot you can do it yourself for around $200 over the weekend. I was into it about $500 because I had to buy DA polisher. Check out obsessedgarage.com, they have everything you need plus a great YouTube channel that walks you through each step. I am not a professional and had never polished a car or done ceramic coating and turned out great. Ended up with a couple high spots but just polished them out and re-applied. Just have to take your time and be meticulous.

Here are links to everything I used in order of how you would do it. For products that come in multiple sizes, you will only need smallest size. Only other thing is you will want some good lighting when polishing and putting coating on to make sure you dont miss any spots especially when wiping it off, that is the most important part. If you can wax a car you can do cermic coating.

Day 1:

Decon soap to strip any existing wax or sealants you have on the truck. Wash like normal.

Iron remover to dissolve any iron particles, break dust, or fallout embedded in paint. I used Car Pro Iron-X but same thing. Spray on wet car, let sit for 5 min, rinse off really well.

Clay bar or Auto Scrub pad and lube to remove any stuck on or remaining contaminants. Scrub the whole truck, then rinse and dry.

Polisher, skip the ones obsessed garage sells unless you do a lot of polishing, they are expensive.

Cutting and finishing pads. If you dont have any major scratches yellow Rupes pad will work, if you do get a microfiber cutting pad. Spray them out with compressed air after every panel or buy a few of each to switch out. They are re-usable.

Polish - Used sonax perfect finish for the whole truck except one spot that needed 2 step correction. Used jescar correcting compound there first to get it out, then sonax to finish. Work in small 2x2 areas and make organized passes so you can keep track. Watch some videos on OG youtube channel, was easier than I thought.

Wipe down again with Car Pro Eraser to get any dust on the paint. You could do everything in one day but best to let everything dry overnight. Water will create high spots with the coating that you will have to polish out.

Ceramic coating - Crystal Serum Light and Exo4. CSL is the ceramic coating 1 coat and goes on first, Exo4 is a hydrophobic coating you put after CSL has cured for a few hours 2 coats with 3 hours in between. I bought the applicators OG sells, coatings come with one each but they were cheap. Also bought cheap microfiber towels (5 or 6 will be plenty) to wipe off coating as you go, you will throw them out after and don't want to use old ones with shit in them.

I really love that look. I was planning on that bumper, but after reading a couple threads about problems with the radar cruise after relocating it behind the grill I'm no longer interested. If I hadn't purchased an 802A truck I'd be all over it.

Very rarely do we have any issues with the ACC relocation. And most of the time it just needs to be aligned. We've only ever had one issue where someone had to have the sensor recalibrated and that was because it was dropped during install.
