Oh yikes. I pry don’t even wanna know how that happened. Did you talk smack when his wife ran out of gas in her GTR?

You’re welcome. I’ll be a spectator for you when you hit the Baja 500. Just watch out for that ******* that’s about 20 Coronas deep running on to the trail cheering for ya.
if not a score race, there is a really strong chance that I'll be doing the BITD series + the mint400 with a 6100 team. You're more than welcome to come hang out with the fellas behind the scenes.

and as far as the bj baldwin thing, it didn't happen to me, but was a running joke after he got salty with some other racers and blocked them.

Man I'm out of my element. I dont even know what I should plan on doing in the future for shocks and upgrades. What is better, what's not. Not to mention if you upgrade certain things if you need bigger rims, tires, and those badass advanced fiberglass fenders. Sucks being a noob lol

in all honesty, If I had to do it over again, I would have simply ordered the entire icon kit, done +2 fenders and bedsides and driven the hell out of my truck.

I'm too far into the build to change direction now, but that Icon kit gives you the most functionality with the least amount of required supporting changes. I see the icon equipped trucks' drivers have tons of fun int he dirt, without having to stop and fix things ( which is the nature of the beast when you modify a truck in more extreme ways.)

No, you won't be able to keep pace with me, but if we're on a run, we're all ending up in the same place.

I can go probably 30-40% faster than you, but it is also much harder to find my truck's limits, so I'm usually risking a break. The icon trucks kind of let the driver know where the limit is and if you listen to the truck, it'll be smooth sailing.

to each their own, but I probably should have done the icon kit, then bought a used, linked badass full pre-runner for serious play time.

the only thing i will say as a negative to the icon parts is, i literally destroyed the leaf springs within 500 miles. The way the military wrap is on their springs doesnt make sense to me. I ended up going back to deavers.

You make a lot of sense and and probably the outcome of your experience is giving me a feedback that I wanted to know and won’t find easily thank you.

I got my truck to keep it as a daily driver and I promised my self I won’t be upgrading the truck since I have my X3 Can-am which is a-great utv all around.

So the Raptor was the way to take me to work a gives me the ability to do a mild off-roading if I ever want to, because I have spent some good amount of cash on my prerunner getting build and prepped at Kibbetech and I love it! light weight fully built v8 450 Hp little truck.

So again the Raptor was again the last option on the upgrading list of my mental addiction.

But that all that changed when I got to use the truck and find out the abilities of this truck, I could not resist the urge of wanting to go faster.

And because the community of Raptors in Dubai is not very big and nothing compared to the number of trucks and the experiences in upgrading them in the USA. Dubai’s best Raptor setup was King shocks, Deavers and people that are really spending, will be adding UCA’s and a bump kit.

So I had to ask couple of friends in the industry in Californian and one of them was Rick DeWeese aka: Dunewhore so I told him about my suspension plan and he advised me to go with the Icon stage 4 kit based on trucks he saw running Expo trips. And this is the exact reason I went with this kit because the Toyota 4 Runner is already there!!!

Rick is a good dude. He is absolutely hilarious to hang out with. If you ever go a trip with him, he likes to draw weiners on trucks when the owners aren't looking.

That does look good. When I see raptors with offsets wider than factor, I wonder if you guys are constantly bumping curbs and stuff, being that the truck is already 6" wider than regular F150's. That's the main reason I have stayed with stock rims. It does look better than stock though.

:Big Laugh: go measure the front of your truck, outside of tire to outside of tire.

Then consider that I drove mine around Austin last week just fine and mine is 98-99" using the same measurement ( depends on what tire pressure I'm running. )

you get used to it. Your turning radius is quite a bit tighter than mine too.
