Truck is already in for Cam phaser rattle. As the new owner I was worried about Ford not taking care of me but the stars aligned for it to be fully covered. Last owner had the PCM flash done in January which extended the coverage. I got it in at 68k miles, just shy of the 100% coverage cutoff. I had them do a required inspection while they are at it for an ESP premium care plan that will cover me for another 4 years 50k miles.
I guess it’s also acceptable to schedule me to bring the truck in (nov 16th), and than call me to confirm it is the phasers and tell me that they actually don’t plan on working on the truck until Nov. 30th. Luckily I don’t need the truck and I was so happy it was covered I didn’t care as much as I normally would have. They did offer me to come get the truck back until they can actually do the repair. I miss driving it already!
