Well...Today, a bit too chilly to do anything fun on the truck, even with heating the garage....Soooo I sat inside and shopped...And bought a Tesla Type Screen replacement infotainment system. Will post up some info when it comes in and I get it installed. They all seem to be buggy at best and at ~ $1200, a bit of a gamble...But if I get one that works, I think it will be great to not have the laggy SYNC and limited functions to deal with. I also hate having to plug my phone in each time to use Android Auto :) Fingers crossed it will be a good one!

I love mine. Get the russian's firmware and you should be go to go. The best part is that sync is still retained, and you get all he benefits or a 12" android tablet. Being able to watch youtube tv while driving is awesome :p

Yessir. But I don't use carplay in the traditional sense with the tablet. With the tablet, the sync screen that you normally have in the truck is retained and is about the same size as the oem screen projected onto the tablet. I use carplay more for the voice commands than anything really - since the table can do full screen waze and stuff like that. YOu can be full screen waze and hit the voice activation button and say, 'call wifey' and it will without interrupting the screen. It's different than carplay with the oem unit is what I'm getting at, and in a really good way IMO.

which one do you have again? going through all of the versions of these that came out and the vendors that sell it seems to be a hit or a miss.

That does sound pretty trick. I’d love to have Waze full tablet size and basically pinned. Having Sync up simultaneously is also a big plus. I tend to CarPlay text vs call. I hate being on the phone during my drive if at all possible lol. We can take this to the tablet thread, but just as someone else asked. Do all the native truck/sync functions work reliably at this point? The cameras all function? I gather the Sergi code is the one.

Di you get the Navos, Linkswell, or Phoenix? Which version ? Thanks! I read a ton of reviews, posts, and watched every video ;) They all seem to have some pros and cons...but I like the larger screens.

OK...Thanks. I believe you are correct from all I have read/watched. Appreciate it. I was not/am not worried about the SYNC, and went with the Linkswell system. They seem to be pretty solid and have good (US) support ‍;) We'll see.

This is the one I bought. I bought the latest Generation version I found...Just FYI
