Just found this on my rear applique... It looks like some things are broken here. If I get a new emblem, can it be fixed without removing that plastic panel? Or is that not really a big deal to remove anyway?

did you ever find out a replacement? also curious how they're mounted because i feel like mine were placed incorrectly on my applique and it drives me nuts! theyre mounted all the way to the right verses being centered with an even gap all the way around... thinking of fish lining them off if they are in fact just double sided tape and fixing it the way it should have been from the start...

I have been assured they are indeed taped on with double sided tape. The problem for me has been trying to find a new "F 150" nameplate. The correct part had been discontinued and supposedly the only way to get the correct part is too order the entire applique. My only option is to order a chrome part for $20 and paint it black (which I'm sure will look like crap in 30 days) or find one at a junk yard.

damn I find that hard to believe. Don’t the normal f150 have the same number and the FXT has the darker grey ones? If I can find one around here I’ll snag it for ya!
