supposedly re-using the stock gasket prevents the SPD T-stat from backing out.

Not exactly true, I was reusing the stock one, there wasn't even a different one in the box. They must have figured out it didn't work (or I got one that was mispacked). Anyway, the 64mm depth of the SPD will pop out as it's 3mm longer than stock. The o-ring isn't seated firmly enough in the groove in the block to overcome the spring.

(9/7) Entered Medano Pass from the east side and up and over to the Great Sand Dunes. The trail is not technically difficult, after all, I did it, however as you near the Sand Dunes, the last, IDK, 5 miles or so of the trail will pin-stripe, the trail is always narrow, but this part is strewn with brush and tree growth that is unavoidable.

Raptor handled the trail with ease, There was one spot where passenger side runner scraped a rock, and I either bent it up on that or there was another area where I miss-judged the depth of some concurrent "pot holes" was going a bit fast and hit pretty hard, I suppose that could have bent it.

Picked the truck up from RPG, they installed their bumpstop kit, Deaver +3, Billet shackles, method 312 wheels....

The deavers are are massive improvement over stock... should come with the truck from factory.

Looks great. Just fyi, there's a youtube channel, (keep it dirty off road) dude and his sons, pretty cool guy, tells it like it is, does a ton of off roading. He then goes under the truck to see what held up and what didn't after 5 day jaunts. He showed problems with the RPG bump stop kit hitting the frame.

It was a great day for my Raptor! New Icon Vector 6 wheels, second oil change (5500 miles) since I bought it a little over a year ago and switched to full synthetic in the engine. Also had a delivery from UPS - my Ford Performance rear diff cover finally came!
The Icon wheels are a +6 offset and it looks like the Rally Armor mud flaps extra width will keep me from slinging too much down the sides.
Thanks again to @OffroadAlliance.com for hooking me up with the wheels and triple bezel light kit in the pictures!

Looks great, M's fan! Smart changing the oil early in the life of the motor, I did the same thing, and really smart to change out the rear diff cover and oil. You're going to be surprised/disappointed at how much junk is in there. Several members have used Amsoil to refill it, I used Mobil-1 as I've had good results from their motor oil, but I think any quality product will serve you well. Wipe down the insides as much as you can as well just to clean out a bit more of the crud before you button it up. Best of luck, and hope the fires aren't bothering you or your family.

Is that Diff Cover missing a screw in the Ford Performance TAG?
