Virginia City is really cool. Did you hit the little gold mine museum? Kind of neat. Does the Sheriff’s Office still park a police car with a mannequin in it at the entrance to town to keep people driving slow?We drove south out of Reno to Virginia City, an old mining town. Went to a old, old, old cemetery where most of the bodies were buried in the mid 1860s when the town was booming with gold mining. Saw some wildlife. Then on the way back took the "toll" road, which is a narrow shelf road down the mountain. Great scenery.

What trail are you on? Looks fun
I thought the same thing but it only took a couple of days to get used to the strip on mine. It's doesn't come down quite as far as the one above though. Now I don't notice it and it really helps with glare. That strip would drive me insane. Do not want.
Didn't see the Sheriff's car, maybe the mannequin got the virus. Cool town.Virginia City is really cool. Did you hit the little gold mine museum? Kind of neat. Does the Sheriff’s Office still park a police car with a mannequin in it at the entrance to town to keep people driving slow?
Fun little town to see.
